South Africa has so much to offer, that it can be challenging to fit it all into just a few days, but that's okay, it just means you'll have to return someday ;) In this post we'll be featuring two of our most popular South African travel destinations that our first-time travellers to South Africa request time and time again, and for good reason. Kruger National Park Safari Known to have more variety of mammals than any other reserve in South Africa as well as being one of the oldest and largest reserves in the world; Kruger National Park Safari options are vast. From self-drive and camping to luxury, fully inclusive lodges, the Kruger National Park has something to suit each budget. Our Clients generally request 4 or 5-star accommodation, and thus, this is what we specialise in. We have a vast knowledge of first-hand experience visiting and staying at these luxury lodges and look forward to sharing our top safari tips with you if you'd like us to assist you in planning your perfect trip to South Africa. Game Drives & WildlifeA Kruger National Park Safari offers outstanding game viewing, including the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo), giraffe, zebra, hyenas, birds and so much more. The benefit of staying at one of our recommended lodges is that you won't be limited to the roads when out searching for wildlife, but rather be taken on an off-roading 4x4 adventure in search of the Big5 (the Kruger is expansive and animals roam vast distances, so the ability to track wildlife without restrictions is a game-changer when on safari). And then there's the incredible knowledge and expertise of the safari staff. You will be astounded by how your tracker can decipher the difference of every footprint the animals leave behind, spot wildlife hidden from the untrained eye or name a multitude of birds simply by their song. The Lodge, Accommodation & FoodThe luxury safari lodges that we recommend in the Kruger National Park offer exceptionally beautiful accommodation with private plunge pools overlooking a waterhole surrounded by wildlife right in front of you, luxurious interiors, unique features such as outdoor showers and baths under the stars, we are certain you will be wowed when you arrive. In addition to gorgeous rooms, these luxury lodges offer world-class food & wine service, spa treatments and guest areas that are warm, welcoming and authentic. What's generally included in the RateLodge rates start at around R8,950 per person per night.
We recommend that first-time safari-goers, plan on spending 2 or 3 nights on safari. Guests who stay 3+ nights will benefit from additional inclusions. *Most of the lodges we work with offer discounted rates for Brides, so be sure to ask us for all the honeymoon discounts and benefits if you have recently been married. Cape Town CuratedCape Town, known as "The Mother City" is arguably one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Voted best travel destinated multiple years in a row, Cape Town seriously has it all! A city surrounding one of the natural wonders of the world; Table Mountain, overflows with beauty, history and culture. Not to mention unbelievable beaches, world-class cuisine, spectacular wine estate, accommodation of high standards for very reasonable prices and endless adventures. We don't do pre-packaged itineraries because we understand that everyone is unique, with their interests, goals and budget. The way we like to assist our clients with their South Africa travel planning is to get to know them as best we can first before we recommend anything. This allows us to focus on their wishes and requirements, so we don't ever simply 'push' our ideas onto our clients. Using our extensive local knowledge, we can match certain establishments and experiences with difference guests, to ensure our clients have the best possible trip to South Africa possible! The choice is yours, we're simply here to facilitate your wishes and share our local knowledge of our home city with you. Optional Day Tours
Best time of year to travel to South Africa CAPE TOWN: October to mid-December is usually great weather, less crowded with lower accommodation rates. Mid-December to mid-January is PEAK season in Cape Town. A very festive time to visit Cape Town with lots going on, but extremely busy with locals on holiday & foreigners alike. January to end April - the weather is still fantastic, less crowded, still, lots going on in terms of concerts and markets. We love this time of year in Cape Town. May to August is Winter in Cape Town, which can be quite wet and cold, however, it is not unusual to have wonderful sunny days and at the minimum, regular blue skies. Rates are far lower during this time of year. KRUGER NATIONAL PARK SAFARI May to October is considered the best time to go on safari in the Kruger National Park. The Kruger is located in the north of the country with their 'wet' season being opposite to Cape Town. Rain brings higher humidity, and with it, mosquitos and denser bush, making game viewing slightly more difficult. September is particularly great for game viewing as it is spring which brings with it new life. WHY BOOK THROUGH US?
