1. Terroir at Kleine Zalze

​Location: Stellenbosch
Cuisine: Refined and uncompromisingly delicious.
Menu: à la carte/Daily Board Menu
Average Cost: R190 for a main course.
Ambience: Refined and relaxed, under oak trees overlooking a golf course.
Open: Lunch, Mon-Sun. Dinner, Mon-Sat.

2. ​Ryan’s Kitchen

3​Location: Franschhoek
Cuisine: Modern South African flair.
Menu: A La Carte. Focusing on small taster plates, a few mains and desserts.
Cost: Avg. starters R100, Main R200
Ambience: Fine dining. Modern, welcoming staff and comfortable seating.
Open: Lunch and dinner, Monday – Saturday.

Cuisine: Contemporary dishes with an Asian inspired balance.
Menu type: à la carte.
Average Cost: Main Course R210.
Ambience: Incredible views, elegant interiors and knowledgeable staff.
Open: Lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

4. ​Equus Dine at Cavalli

​Location: Stellenbosch
Cuisine: "A Contemporary take on the classics". Lunches are relaxed with a bistro-style menu. Dinner is more fine dining, with a focus on local, fresh produce.
Menu: à la carte.
Average Cost: Main R155
Ambience: 2014 Winner of the Boschendal Style Awards, open and airy with a stunning terrace overlooking their geothermal farm dam.
Open: Lunch, Wed – Sun. Dinner, Wed – Sat.

5. Jordan

Cuisine: Delicious and diverse dishes, chef George Jardine
Menu: Changes daily based on the best seasonal produce. À la carte.
Avergae Cost: R325 for two courses, R375 for 3 courses.
Ambience: Unpretentious, with wonderful views through full length glass windows.
Open: Lunch, Mon-Sun (Tues-Sun winter). Dinner, Thurs-Sat (Thurs and Friday only in winter). 

​6. The Tasting Room at La Quartier Français Hotel.

​Location: Franschhoek
Cuisine: has a strong South African influence with locally sourced fresh ingredients.
Menu type: 8 Course, African Inspired surprise tasting menu. Option for wine pairing.
Cost: R850 pp. R1335 includes wine pairing.
Ambience: Fine dining. Beautifully decorated, vibrant and welcoming.
Open: Dinner only, Tuesday – Saturday.

7. The Restaurant at Waterkloof

Cuisine: Seasonal, organic produce prepared with a classic French Influence.
Menu: Choice of à la carte or set menu options, which change frequently.
Average Cost: R195 Main course.
Ambience: A modern space with incredible vistas of False Bay.
Open: Lunch, Wed-Sun. Dinner, Wed-Sat.

8. ​Bread and Wine at Morêson Farm

Cuisine: Homemade charcuterie, hearty main dishes and excellent desserts.
Menu: ever-evolving à la carte menu.
Average Cost: R160 main course.
Ambience: Family friendly and casual.
Open: Lunch only Monday – Sunday.

9. Tokara

​Location: Franschhoek, Helshoogte Pass
Cuisine: Terroir focused and contemporary cuisine.
Menu: unfussy à la carte options and also more playful creations on a seven course chef’s menu.
Average Cost: R160 main course.
Ambience: sophisticated without being stuffy. Wonderful views from it’s high vantage point at the top of the Helshoogte Pass.
Open: Lunch Tues-Sun. Dinner Tues-Sat.

10. The Kitchen at Maison Wine Estate

Cuisine: Sophisticated and contemporary food with an emphasis on freshness and flavour.
Menu: Daily à la carte.
Average Cost: R175 main course.
Ambience: Stylish and modern with a lovely deck overlooking the lawn and vineyards.
Open: Lunch: Tue-Sun (Wed-Sun off season). Dinner: Friday and Saturdays.

11. Cafe BonBon at La Petite Dauphine

Menu: à la carte menu that changes with the seasons.

Ambience: Relaxed, warm and welcoming. Sit under old oak treed or in a beautifully restored 200 year old wine cellar.
Open: Everyday for breakfast and lunch. Dinner, Wed, Fri and Saturdays.
