This year all attendees can look forward to a line-up that has a slightly ‘sweeter offering’, with everything from jazz legends and newcomers to musical storytellers and upbeat, high-energy acts for those of all ages. Tickets range from R425-R725 and are available via Computicket. 17 April - SPAR Woman's Race, Cape Town StadiumThe time has come again for ladies to lace up those running shoes and take to the road when the annual SPAR Women’s Race hits Cape Town on Sunday, 17 April 2016. There are two races (5km and 10km), both of which start at the forecourt behind the Cape Town Stadium, at around 7:30am, and participants are allowed to run or walk. Do note, this is a wheelchair friendly event! If you’re needing an incentive, the first 24 000 runners who cross the finish line can take home an achievement medal. The event features art, music and creative performances with the freedom given to express yourself in your own personal way. Whether it’s watching the burnings, or it’s bartering your goods and services, Afrikaburn is unlike any other festival on the continent. The theme for this year, is X. Visit their website here. 29 April - 1 May - Lamberts Bay Crayfish FestivalLambert's Bay is know as the local crayfish mecca along the West Coast, where masses of crustaceans will be hauled out of the ocean for another delicious 2016 Lamberts Bay Crayfish and Cultural Festival (also known as the Lambertsbaai Kreeffees) from Friday, 29 April to Sunday, 1 May 2016. Located just two hour’s drive from Cape Town, this quaint fishing town springs to life with its annual celebration of seafood, music, activities and West Coast culture this April.
