Can I use my Mobile Phone in South Africa?
Yes, as long as you have your international roaming on, you should be able to use your device in most places. However this can be very expensive. We would recommend purchasing a local SIM card before/when you arrive (you will need to ‘RICA’ the sim card, to do so you will need an address and identity document) contact us for more info. Most hotels and coffee shops offer complimentary WiFi.
NB Info on Passports, Visas & Travelling with Children
All travellers entering South Africa require a valid passport with a minimum of 30 days validity after your intended departure from South Africa. Most nationalities are welcome to enter South Africa for a holiday, without a visa for a maximum of 90 days. If you are wanting to stay longer or intend on working, you will be required to apply for a visa. Please note that all travellers require a return flight/flight out of Sout Africa prior to entering. If you do not have an onward flight, you will not be granted entrance. Parents travelling with children under the age of 18 are required to carry an unabridged birth certificate stating the names of both parents. If one of the parents is not present, or the child is travelling with a guardian, written consent is required from both parents along with the Unabridged Birth Certificate.
