Knysna…not as widely known to foreigners as Cape Town, but it should be! Well that’s my opinion anyway. I visited for the first time, whilst we were on our huge 2-week road trip around South Africa (more about this still to follow). Whilst it was my first visit, Sarah has been to Knysna on many occasions, and it is a place filled with happy memories.
Well…where to start with this incredible property? Prana Lodge is located in the quaint seaside town of Chintsa on South Africa's Wild Coast. It’s called a Beach Estate because it sits right on the edge of one of the longest and most pristine beaches I have ever seen, stretching as far as the eye can see and on the day that we were there a beautiful flat, calm ocean.

How many times have you heard people saying that they haven’t been somewhere they would like to go that is so nearby…? On this trip, I definitely got used to much longer drives each day, our longest drive was 9 hours straight. Spring is upon us, which means it's time to celebrate and enjoy being outdoors again, soaking up the sunshine. Take a look below at some exciting events which will be taking place this September in and around Cape Town. Trying to come up with superlatives to describe Ellerman House is like taking a picture of the very best view you’ve ever seen and realising how it just never does the landscape justice (at least when I take photos) and the descriptions I give for Ellerman House will wain in comparison to experiencing it first hand.

And an exclusive look inside one of our Private Villa Dinners. It's a question that we often get asked "What exactly do we do at BACK IN TOWN?" So we decided to show you! We recently hosted a fabulous and exclusive dinner party at one of our favourite Villas in Cape Town, Hamilton House, a beautiful 7-bedroom villa in the affluent, wind protected area of Fresnaye, on the Atlantic Seaboard. We arranged this evening to showcase a small aspect of what we do and to create a platform where we could meet our guests and have the opportunity for them to get to know us better and experience first hand the type of service standards we consistently provide to our clients.
