Sarah Michell We have hand picked Sea Five Boutique Hotel to feature as our very first “Hotel of the Month”. We have chosen this little gem because it is so different to the rest. Situated only 300 metres from Cape Town’s famous Camps Bay Beach, it is the perfect spot for those who are looking for an intimate, luxury hospitality experience and enjoy the exclusivity of a boutique hotel. Sea Five is exactly that, with only 7 beautiful suites you will feel as though you are on holiday in your own dream beach house with all the extras and world-class service.
Sarah Michell As a child I remember driving through Robertson many times en route to a further destination. Only many years later did I learn that this small town in the middle of nowhere is one of the Cape’s top wine regions. Boasting top quality wines and stud farms. Robertson not only offers world-class wine tastings and horse breeding farms but an extensive array of outdoor adventure activities too; such as: hiking, mountain biking, river rafting and rock climbing to name a few. So when we were invited to spend three days here a couple of weeks ago, we could not refuse. The Cape Winelands are amongst the most scenic Winelands in the world. Along with its world-renown wines and top restaurants, the Cape Winelands should definitely be on everyone’s list when visiting the Cape. The most popular and visited wine areas outside Cape Town are Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, which are just a short 30-45 minute drive from the city. Locals and tourists alike find little reason to venture further afield to other regions as everything one desires can be found here. To say we were pleasantly surprised by the Robertson Wine Valley would be an understatement, the wines were fantastic, the hospitality very warm and professional. Furthermore, we experienced one of the best food and wine pairings we’ve had in years. We found many reasons to visit Robertson during our stay; below we give you a taste of 5 of our favorite attractions. We hope you will use these recommendations as a starting point and explore the region for yourselves in the near future. |
